1What these terms cover
These terms apply when you order a calendar from us — printed, digital, or both. Ordering means you accept them. We may change them, and the version that applies to your order is the one published when you placed it.
Nothing here is meant to take away rights you have under Texas or United States consumer law. Where these terms and that law disagree, the law wins.
2THE MOST IMPORTANT THING ON THIS PAGE — the calendar is not a legal authority
Do not use your calendar to decide whether it is legal to hunt on a given day. Check the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department's Outdoor Annual or tpwd.texas.gov before you hunt. That is the authority; this is a wall calendar.
We take the accuracy of these sheets seriously and we tell you plainly which parts are which:
Dates for a season TPWD has already published are taken from TPWD's own county pages and checked against TPWD's printed Outdoor Annual.
Dates for a season TPWD has not yet published are projected — worked out from the regulation that sets each date and tested against prior seasons. They carry a confidence grade. They are a researched estimate with the working shown, and they are not official. A projected sheet is printed months before TPWD announces anything, which is the point of it and also the risk.
Bag limits, shooting hours and reporting rules are never projected. Those are the current season's published figures, or they are absent.
TPWD can and does change dates and rules after publication, including mid-season and by emergency order. A printed calendar cannot follow that. Once your sheet is on the wall it says what it said the day it was printed.
You are responsible for hunting legally. We are not liable for a citation, a fine, a lost license, a forfeited animal or any other consequence of relying on this calendar instead of TPWD. If a date matters, confirm it with TPWD.
3What we sell
A printed wall calendar, made to order for one Texas county, showing the seasons you chose. Three sheet sizes; the size is set by how many seasons run at once, and we tell you which one your order needs before you pay.
A digital bundle, optionally or on its own: a PDF of your calendar and a calendar file (.ics) you can load onto a phone.
Custom orders, where you ask for something outside the standard product. Those are reviewed and quoted individually, and are only binding once we have accepted them in writing — see section 10.
4Orders, and when a contract exists
Placing an order and paying is an offer to buy. A contract exists when we confirm your order by email. Until then we may decline, for example if:
- the county, species or seasons cannot be produced as ordered;
- the price shown was wrong, and obviously so;
- we cannot fulfill the order within a reasonable time;
- the title you supplied is one we will not print (section 9).
If we decline, we refund you in full and we do not charge you anything.
5Prices, tax and payment
Prices are in US dollars and shown on the site before you pay.
Three things make up the price and each is shown to you separately. The sheet itself — which size you need is decided by how many of your seasons run at the same time, not chosen by you. Lamination, per sheet, if you choose it. Delivery, one charge for the whole order of up to four sheets, which is not there at all if you collect in person.
Nothing is hidden in the price and nothing is added after you have seen the total. The confirmation screen before payment lists all of it again.
Sales tax is calculated at checkout by Stripe Tax and added where it applies.
Payment is handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. We receive your name, email, shipping address and what you ordered.
6Making it and sending it
We aim to print, finish, pack and dispatch within 3–5 business days of confirming your order.
Plain or laminated is your choice, and you make it at checkout. A plain sheet is printed and trimmed with no coating. A laminated sheet is sealed on both sides for an extra charge per sheet, shown before you pay. Whichever you picked is on your order confirmation; if it is not what you meant, tell us before we print and we will change it at no cost.
That is a target, not a guarantee. This is a one-person operation with one plotter and one laminator, so a busy week, a paper or laminate shortage, or an equipment fault can push it out. If your order is going to be materially late, we will tell you — and if it is late enough to be no use to you, you can cancel for a full refund even after printing has started.
We currently ship to Texas addresses only. If you order from outside Texas we will contact you and refund you in full. The digital bundle has no such limit and can be bought from anywhere.
Calendars are shipped rolled in a tube. One tube holds up to four sheets, and one delivery charge covers all of them. An order of five or more needs a second tube; ask and we will quote it.
Risk passes to you on delivery, so anything that happens to the parcel in transit is ours to put right — see section 8.
Collecting in person
You can choose to collect instead of having it sent, and $20 comes off your total — the delivery you are not using.
There is no shop. Collection is by arrangement, in or near Grimes County. We will email you when your calendar is ready and agree a time and place that works for both of us.
If collection turns out not to be possible — you move, the distance does not work, plans change — we will post the calendar instead and ask for the $20 delivery that was taken off the order. Nothing is lost; you simply pay the delivery you originally chose not to.
Risk passes to you when the calendar is handed over.
7Canceling
You may cancel for a full refund at any time before your calendar is printed, by emailing orders@hunting-calendars.com with your order reference. Because sheets go on the plotter in batches, that window is usually at least a few hours and often longer — ask and we will tell you where your order stands.
Once your sheet has been printed we cannot cancel it, because it exists and it is yours: it names your county and carries the seasons you chose, and nobody else can use it.
8Refund policy
Before printing — full refund, no reason needed. See section 7.
After printing — no change-of-mind refunds. Every sheet is made to order for one county and one set of species. It has no resale value and it cannot be restocked. Please check your county, your species and your seasons on the review page before you pay; they are all shown there for exactly this reason.
Faulty, damaged or wrong — replaced free, or refunded, your choice. That covers:
- a printing, trimming or finishing fault — including a sheet laminated when you ordered it plain, or sent plain when you paid to have it laminated;
- damage in transit;
- the wrong county, wrong species or wrong seasons against what you ordered;
- published season dates or limits printed wrong against TPWD's published figures for that season.
Tell us within 30 days of delivery at orders@hunting-calendars.com, with your order reference and a photograph if it is a physical fault. We do not usually ask for the sheet back — shipping a damaged 42-inch tube costs more than it proves.
What is not a fault: a projected date that TPWD later announces differently. Section 2 explains why. A projection is an estimate and is labeled as one throughout — on the site, in your order, and on the sheet. If a projection turns out wrong we will happily talk to you about it, and we will correct the underlying research, but it is not a defect and it is not refundable.
The digital bundle is not refundable once it has been sent, because it cannot be returned. If a file is corrupt, will not open, or contains the wrong county, we will fix and resend it — or refund it if we cannot.
Refunds go back to the original payment method, usually within five business days of us agreeing to one.
9Titles you supply
You may put your own title on the calendar instead of the county name.
By supplying one you confirm it is yours to use — that it does not infringe a trademark or copyright, and does not identify a person who has not agreed to it. We may refuse to print a title that is unlawful, that infringes someone else's rights, or that we simply do not want our name on. If we refuse, we will say so and refund you in full.
Titles are set in the calendar's typeface and are reduced in size to fit the sheet. Very long titles may print smaller than you expect; the site tells you before you pay when that will happen.
10Custom orders
Custom work is a request, not an order. You describe what you want, we review it, and we either quote it or decline. Nothing is charged and nothing is binding until we accept in writing and you approve the quote. Once approved, a custom order is made to order and sections 7 and 8 apply to it in the same way.
11What belongs to whom
The underlying facts — season dates, bag limits, county boundaries — are public information published by TPWD and are nobody's property.
The calendar itself is ours: the layout, the design, the way the seasons are drawn, the research and formulas behind the projections, and the sheet as a finished piece of work.
You may hang your calendar, photograph it, and use it for your own purposes, including in a business you run. The digital PDF is licensed to you for your own use and you may print it for yourself.
You may not resell it, redistribute the PDF, or reproduce the sheet for sale or bulk distribution without our written permission. If you want to buy calendars to give away or resell, just ask — that is a conversation we are glad to have.
12What we are responsible for
We are responsible for the calendar being what you ordered, made properly, and arriving in one piece.
We are not responsible for how you use it, and specifically not for anything arising from relying on it instead of TPWD (section 2).
To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any order is limited to what you paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses — a missed hunt, travel costs, a lease payment, lost income.
None of this limits liability for anything that cannot lawfully be limited, including fraud, or death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
13Your information
We collect your name, email, phone if you give it, shipping address, what you ordered, and, if you drop a pin on the map, the exact spot you chose. We use it to fulfill and support your order, and for nothing else. We do not sell it and we do not send marketing you did not ask for.
Payment details go to Stripe and never reach us. Order records are kept as long as we need them for accounts and tax.
Our Privacy Policy sets out everything we collect, who handles it for us, and how it is kept safe.
14Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, and disputes belong to the courts of Texas.
